Conceptual Master Plan

Conceptual master plans are the basis for phasing in work on properties into the future.  Some of our clients have worked toward overall designs conceived years ago.  With each phase of work, necessary construction documents are prepared and implemented.

Construction Documents and Specifications

Construction documents are an essential part of the design process. They ensure that ideas formulated during the conceptual master plan are integrated into the natural environment, and specify how a project is built.  Pope Ozio & Associates guides our clients through material options and cost saving measures. During this phase we work out the details that set our work apart from others in our field.

Project Management and Consultation

In addition to the design stage, Pope Ozio & Associates provides guidance throughout a garden’s implementation, working closely with clients during bidding, construction, planting supervision and site furnishings selection for each project. Our office acts as the client’s representative and advocate during review of proposals, construction implementation and plant installation.   

Through the years we have developed relationships with contractors of many trades who are capable of bringing our designs to fruition. We share these important resources with our clients when needed. Sometimes clients come to us with long standing contractor preferences, and we enjoy building new working relationships with these contractors.

Planting Design

We integrate plantings that complement the overall garden design and architectural style of clients’ homes, and whenever feasible select plant materials that will be allowed to mature into natural form, thus lessening the need for pruning through the years. We choose carefully from the varied plant palette which thrives in the southeast to provide seasonal interest throughout the year.

Site Amenity Selections

Pope Ozio Associates often includes garden rooms for outdoor living as part of our landscape designs. We can also assist in selecting garden furniture, ornamental pots and sculpture for gardens.

Maintenance Management  Services

The best gardens evolve.  Pope Ozio Associates can meet periodically with homeowners and maintenance companies to make sure gardens mature as their designs intended. This service is available year round, but may be most helpful just before and during the growing season. Scheduling for these meetings takes place in January and August. Consultations can include designs for color beds, seasonal garden elements and coordination of upcoming planting phases.
